Data Engineer

A vacancy has arisen for a detail orientated and collaborative full-time Data Engineer at PD Ports within the IT team.

Location: Lackenby House, Teesport
Working Arrangements: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

The main things our Data Engineer will be working on are:

• The specification, development, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise data pipelines, canonical data models, and data architecture capabilities and support of the Data Warehouse platform.
• Integration of data from multiple line-of-business systems into a trusted enterprise data platform that supports operational reporting, analytics, business intelligence, artificial intelligence, and strategic decision-making.
• Ensuring that high-quality, governed, and well-structured data products are made available to enable effective reporting and analytics across the organisation.
• Working closely with the Business Insights Team to understand reporting and analytics requirements.

We are seeking someone who has:

• Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a Data Engineer, Data Warehouse Developer, Data Integration Developer, or similar role.
• Demonstrable experience delivering production-grade data solutions within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong technical expertise in SQL, Python, Oracle data technologies, and modern DevOps practices, together with experience developing and supporting enterprise-scale data solutions.
• Ideally has experience with Oracle AI Data Warehouse and Qlik Sense.
