Data Engineer Intern Toronto

Build data engineering experience at TD in Toronto through Java, Python, Scala, Pyspark, or SQL development. This hybrid internship runs four days weekly in office.

As a Data Engineer Intern or Co-op, you will work within TD’s Technology group on its big data platform, Data-as-a-service. You may apply development methodologies, test programming, design enhancements, and document deployments. The four-month Winter Term 2 work term targets students enrolled in relevant undergraduate or graduate technology programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply SDLC and PMLC to complete development tasks
• Design, develop, and deploy system enhancements
• Perform unit and system integration testing
• Analyze application defects and resolve root causes
• Document proof-of-concept findings and deployment plans

Requirements:

• Enrollment in a relevant technology program
• Familiarity with Java, Scala, Python, Pyspark, or SQL
• Knowledge of data modelling or database development
• Test data tools knowledge, including CA TDM or Delphix
• Familiarity with GIT, Jira, and Confluence
