Data Engineer Python SQL AWS - FinTech

In this role you build and evolve a modern, scalable AWS-based data platform for investment research. You’ll design and maintain data pipelines, ingestion frameworks, and processing workflows, supporting migration to a unified architecture. You’ll collaborate with the Data Platform Engineer on data modelling, database optimization, and onboarding new data sources, while ensuring data quality and platform reliability. This is a hands-on role that combines data engineering, database management, and platform delivery in a finance-focused environment.

• Design and maintain data pipelines and ingestion frameworks
• Migrate datasets into a unified data architecture
• Collaborate on platform design, data modelling, and database optimisation

• Work with orchestration tools to manage data workflows

• Experience as a Data Engineer in financial data / FinTech environment
• Strong SQL and Python skills
• AWS experience including Data Lakes and S3
• Experience building and supporting large-scale data pipelines
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience with time-series data (TimescaleDB or similar)
• Experience with orchestration platforms (Dagster or Airflow)
