In this role you will technically lead the Wholesale Data & Analytics team, align data solutions with business needs, and drive end-to-end delivery from analysis to production. You will work with cross-functional stakeholders, mentor engineers, and promote robust testing and modern engineering practices. Responsibilities
  • Lead the team and liaise with business stakeholders to capture requirements before design and development
  • Hands-on coding and mentorship, providing technical SME guidance
  • Design understanding of applications and own changes to meet new requirements per standards
  • scout and adopt new technologies and accessibility considerations
  • Guide developers in implementing best-of-breed solutions using established patterns
  • Ensure automated testing is in place before user acceptance testing
  • Drive continual service improvement and plan sunset of services when needed
  • Own end-to-end delivery from analysis through to production release and support
Key requirements
  • Experience implementing data processes for a Data Warehouse and production systems
  • Strong experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop / Spark)
  • Programming in Scala and Python
  • Strong delivery engineering tooling: Git/GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, JIRA
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and modern engineering practices (CI/CD, automated testing)
