Data Engineering Manager

As Data Engineer Manager you will lead and grow the data engineering function within a fast-growing AI SaaS environment. You will manage a small team, own delivery, and work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into solid data solutions. The role combines leadership with hands-on review of SQL and code to guide technical decisions. This is a senior, impact-focused position with a clear path toward Head of Data Engineering, offering scale, responsibility, and customer-facing influence.

• Lead and develop a team of Data Engineers
• Own delivery plans, priorities and engineering standards
• Manage customer relationships and translate requirements into practical data solutions

• Experience leading or managing Data Engineering teams
• Strong people management and mentoring skills
• Excellent SQL knowledge, with Python and modern data platform experience
• Experience delivering customer-facing data products or solutions
• Confidence working with external customers and senior stakeholders
• Decisive, commercially aware and delivery-focused approach
• SaaS/product-led/scale-up experience beneficial
