Data Engineers | Aws Data And Analytics Services | Contract | Belfast

Contract Location: Belfast, office based flexible 2-3 days per week, the rest remote

Start: ASAP

Contract Duration: Full time role (Monday to Friday) 6 months initially (inside IR35)

We are looking for talented Data Engineers to join the team and help design, build, and optimize modern data platforms that power analytics and business insight. These roles sit within the Defence & Security domain, therefore previous experience is required.

What You’ll Work On

• Building and maintaining scalable data solutions using AWS Data and Analytics Services , including Glue , Redshift , Athena , Storage , and Lake Formation
  
• Improving observability across data pipelines and platform
  
• Managing source control and collaboration using GitHub or GitLab
  
• Supporting CI/CD workflows with Drone
  
• Automating tasks and operational processes through shell scripting
  
• Provisioning and managing infrastructure as code with Terraform
  

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in data engineering and cloud-based data platforms
  
• Hands‑on knowledge of AWS analytics services
  
• A practical approach to observability, automation, and reliability
  
• Experience working in modern DevOps and infrastructure‑as‑code environments
  
• Ability to collaborate effectively in agile, cross‑functional teams
