Data Governance Business Analyst

Shape enterprise data governance in Toronto through SQL, data modelling, and stakeholder requirements, with a hybrid schedule including Thursdays onsite weekly.

As a Data Business Analyst, you will support a global Data and AI team within a leading professional services organization. You will translate business requirements into technical data specifications and develop conceptual and logical models. The work supports data integration, governance frameworks, quality standards, and a connected data platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather stakeholder requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Develop conceptual and logical enterprise data models
• Support governance frameworks, policies, and quality standards
• Maintain metadata, glossaries, definitions, and lineage
• Collaborate on source mapping and system integration

Requirements:

• 25 years in data governance, management, or related analysis
• Strong hands-on SQL for querying, analysis, and validation
• Experience translating requirements into data modelling specifications
• Knowledge of metadata, stewardship, quality, and governance practices
• Bachelor's degree; CBAP or similar certification is an asset
