Overview

As Data Governance Coordinator, you enable trusted, transparent data across ICIS by applying governance, quality, and metadata standards to the data estate. You act as a conduit between central data capabilities and Data Stewards to boost adoption of governance practices and data transparency. You will oversee data products, monitor quality and completeness, and ensure compliance with enterprise standards. Your work supports data-driven decisions across cross-functional teams in a fast-growing data organization.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee defined datasets and data products within the Lakehouse and broader data estate
  • Ensure data products have clear ownership via Data Stewards
  • Track completeness, maturity, and usability of data products
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise data governance standards and escalate gaps
  • Embed governance into delivery and change processes
  • Drive metadata and catalogue completeness, quality, and discoverability
  • Monitor data quality outcomes, identify gaps, and prioritize issues
  • Promote transparency by capturing data lineage and coordinating with business, engineering, and central teams
Key requirements
  • Experience coordinating data governance activities across multiple datasets or products
  • Understanding of data ownership, stewardship, metadata management, and data catalogue practices
  • Knowledge of data quality principles and monitoring approaches
  • Ability to review governance compliance and support standard implementation
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management across business and technical teams
  • Ability to coordinate activities, drive process adoption, and influence outcomes
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication skills explaining data governance concepts clearly
