Overview
In this role you will lead data ownership and stewardship across the organisation, driving accountable data management along the full data lifecycle. You will connect enterprise governance with on-the-ground, spoke-level delivery and help shape a data ethics framework through policies and impact assessments. This FTC role supports a public sector workstream, focusing on building core data capabilities within the Data Governance Framework. You will work with cross-functional teams to enable compliant, ethical data use at scale.
Responsibilities
- Embed data ownership and stewardship across the data lifecycle
- Drive accountability for data management across the organisation
- Enable delivery of core data capabilities forming the Data Governance Framework (DGF)
- Link enterprise governance with spoke-level implementation
- Create data ethics policy, processes and impact assessments
Key requirements
- Public sector Data Governance experience essential
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and stewardship
- Strong understanding of data lifecycle management, data quality, metadata and compliance
- Experience developing and delivering training programmes
- Experience managing governance projects, coordinating multiple workstreams and supporting organisational change
- Strong knowledge of data ethics, including policies, processes, training and impact assessments
