Data Insights Lead - Reserving

In this role you apply data and analytics to optimize reserving decisions and deliver trusted insight across teams. You’ll collaborate with Reserving, Finance, Actuarial, Claims, Underwriting, and Data & Analytics to turn complex data into clear dashboards and tools. You’ll drive the reserving analytics roadmap, improve data access, and reduce manual reporting while upholding governance and actuarial judgment. • Build strong partnerships with the Reserving team and stakeholder groups to understand needs and decision criteria.
• Define and advance the reserving analytics roadmap to deliver measurable value.
• Design dashboards, datasets, and self-service tools for loss development, claims experience, exposure changes, and prior-year indicators.
• Replace manual reporting with interactive insights enabling trend exploration, result comparison, and assumption testing.
• Identify, explain, and monitor reserve signals (e.g., AvE, PYD, large loss activity, exposure/mix changes).
• Collaborate with actuarial, data science, and AI colleagues to explore modern analytics and scenario exploration.
• Promote responsible use of AI and analytics with governance and actuarial judgment.
• Create clear, intuitive visualizations and improve communication of reserving movements and uncertainties.
• Help define standards for reserving metrics, data definitions, reporting, and interpretation.
• Work with architecture, governance, finance, actuarial, claims, and underwriting to ensure data foundations support final insights.
• Seek opportunities to simplify processes and build reusable insight capabilities.

• Experience in data, analytics, actuarial, finance, or related insurance/reinsurance role
• Experience designing or delivering data and analytics solutions for business users
• Deep understanding of insurance/reinsurance data (claims, policy, exposure, premium, underwriting, finance, actuarial)
• Ability to lead through influence and work with technical teams
• Strong communication skills translating complex data into actionable insights
• Experience creating dashboards, datasets, visualizations, or self-service tools
• Curiosity about AI and emerging technologies and practical application
• Familiarity with Power BI or similar visualization tools
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
