Data Lead

As Data Lead, you will own the data dictionary, enable seamless data migration, and shape data governance for transition projects. You’ll coordinate data sources, develop synthetic data for testing, and ensure data quality for live handover to BAU. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams to plan, validate, and execute data migration and transition milestones. This role offers impact through enabling secure, accurate data flows and readiness for go‑live in a fast-paced programme.

• Create and maintain a data dictionary aligned with the current data landscape to support migration and transition planning.
• Perform gap analyses by reviewing contractual specs and requirements to map current vs new data states.
• Coordinate new data sources with client counterparts and ensure secure, compliant usage for development.
• Advise on synthetic data creation for development/testing when real data is unavailable or unsuitable.
• Establish governance and manage stakeholder relationships to ensure accurate and appropriate data in development and testing.
• Support transition planning with detailed data migration tasks, milestones, and open work orders handover strategies.
• Collaborate with the client on operational transition decisions affecting data (e.g., open work orders, invoicing for partial work).
• Prepare all necessary data for transition to live and lead hypercare data reconciliation activities.
• Assist in identifying data risks, issues, and assumptions for RAID logs and contribute to QA gateway data products.
• Support project leadership in ensuring data integrity and alignment with business and technical workflows.

• Programme environment experience involving data migration and transition
• Experience with data in CAFM software and/or FM contracts
• Proficient with SQL and MS Excel (pivot/tables/macros)
• Experience gathering analytics and presenting findings to stakeholders
• Experience outlining data transitions from source to source
• Experience creating scalable data workflows aligning data and business processes
• Proven responsibility for data integrity when delivering to developers
• Ability to leverage data for insights while upholding security and governance
• Experience in fast-paced projects with fixed go-live dates
