In this role you oversee a dynamic inventory of data licensing rights and manage market data contracts to drive value for Capula. You’ll partner with stakeholders to translate complex needs into actionable work, improve data quality, and explore innovative licensing structures. You will lead negotiations with data vendors and exchanges, ensuring favorable terms and cost efficiency. Your work directly supports cross-functional teams and strategic decisions around data assets and governance. - Manage the data lifecycle for market data and security master systems, including requirements gathering, commercial agreements, and data quality maintenance
- Lead negotiation and renewal of market data contracts and licensing agreements with vendors and exchanges
- Develop innovative licensing models and data usage structures to reduce cost and unlock value across asset classes
- Collaborate with users to translate complex requirements into actionable development tasks
- Break down complex needs into manageable steps and drive innovation and execution
- Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders to maintain alignment
- Address discrepancies, resolve compliance issues, and identify innovative data usage opportunities
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or other numerical disciplines
- FISD (Financial Information Associate or Data Licensing Specialist)
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in Market Data, ideally within an investment fund
- Hands-on experience negotiating market data contracts and renewals with data vendors and exchanges
- Broad knowledge of multiple asset classes and financial data sources, providers and products
- Background in designing and implementing processes to improve data management efficiency and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication, strong negotiation capabilities, deadline orientation, multitasking
