Overview

In this role you will steward core investment data across multiple domains, supporting Front Office and Client Groups with data services and quality control. You will enable data-driven decisions by resolving quality issues, documenting requirements, and reporting metrics. You’ll work closely with data strategy, governance and technology teams to align data practices with RLAM’s AI and data initiatives. This is a hands-on, detail‑oriented role in a fast-paced asset management environment with a focus on continuous improvement and automation.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, maintain and enrich core investment data across domains (portfolios, securities, benchmarks)
  • Investigate and resolve data quality issues and escalate when needed
  • Provide data support to business questions and report data quality metrics
  • Understand data management processes and how they support business objectives
  • Capture data requirements and use cases for extracts, reports, controls and AI solutions
  • Perform data management operational processes (portfolio, security, benchmarks, pricing, classifications, extracts, reports)
  • Collaborate with RLAM data champions, data strategy, governance and technology
  • Ensure business data requirements align with RLAM data and AI strategy
Key requirements
  • Experience in managing data within an asset management context (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Growth mindset and eagerness to learn
  • Process-driven with focus on continuous improvement and automation
  • Experience with data management practices and tools (e.g., Master data management, visualization, relational databases) (preferred)
  • Experience with automation and AI skills (advantage)
  • Some experience with SQL, Power BI, Power Automate (advantage)
  • Dashboarding experience with Power BI or Sigma (advantage)
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Experience with BlackRock Aladdin (preferred)
