Data Management and Governance Senior Analyst

In this role, you drive data governance and quality across key processes within AIG’s Data Office. You’ll partner with business and IT to classify data, map critical terms, and document records of processing activities in line with GDPR. You’ll support data owners and stewards, assess data quality controls, and produce reports for stakeholders and regulators. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that shapes how data is managed and governed at scale.

• Promote data governance and data quality with business and IT stakeholders
• Understand data flows across major processes and systems
• Support classification of personal data and recording processing activities
• Identify and map Critical Business Terms to the enterprise glossary and data flow docs
• Support data owners and stewards; define data quality rules and review results
• Review data flows and controls to identify data quality risks and weaknesses
• Ensure adherence to the AIG Data Management Policy and Standards in initiatives
• Produce standard and custom data governance reports for stakeholders and regulators

• Interest in data management, data quality, data protection
• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of related experience in business/analytics/IT
• Experience engaging with management to understand processes, data flows, controls
• General knowledge of GDPR or other privacy laws
• Experience in data governance, data quality, audit or risk management is a plus
• Familiarity with insurance industry terminology is an advantage
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio)
• Strong organizational, project management and multitasking skills
