Overview

In this role, you will lead data migration and merge efforts for local government projects, ensuring accurate and secure transfer into NEC's revenues and benefits systems. You will work with cross-functional teams to design and implement ETL processes, profile data, and maintain high data quality. The role combines hands-on SQL/Oracle development with stakeholder collaboration and end-user engagement to address migration challenges. You will contribute to public-sector data initiatives and help scale reliable data integration across systems.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, maintain and execute ETL processes to migrate data from legacy systems to target platforms
  • Profile data and model structures for migration solutions as needed
  • Write and optimise PLSQL and SQL (Oracle preferred) to support ETL and merge
  • Apply data quality frameworks to ensure accuracy, reconciliation, timeliness and data integrity
  • Collaborate with migration consultants and revenues/benefits teams to maintain quality and efficiency
  • Engage with end users to assess needs, concerns, and progress around migration/merge
  • Provide solutions and feedback for migration issues raised by customers after tests
  • Document migration processes, data mappings and data quality checks
Key requirements
  • Solid understanding of data transformations and ETL workflows
  • Experience in data migration projects
  • Knowledge and application of data analysis and quality processes in migration
  • Strong SQL development skills, preferably Oracle
  • Experience in engaging with customers/end users and collaborating with colleagues
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with ability to own work and work independently
