Data Modeller

As a Data Modeller at Vanquis, you will translate complex business needs into scalable data models and set standards for our growing Data Architecture practice. You’ll own data modelling patterns, advance the Data Vault approach, and influence how data is structured to support trusted insight and decision-making. This hands-on role collaborates with architects, engineers and governance teams to deliver clear, practical designs for data platforms. You’ll shape data foundations during a period of rapid change, with scope to influence the team’s direction and standards. • Own, maintain and improve data modelling standards and patterns
• Develop and advocate Data Vault methodology, designing data warehouse and data product models
• Translate business requirements into conceptual, logical and physical data models
• Model Salesforce and wider operational data, including flows, transformations and mappings
• Support new initiatives and migrations with a trusted view of data connections
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, engineers, governance and security teams
• Review modelling artefacts and present designs in technical forums
• Maintain standards to enable informed stakeholder decisions

• Strong experience creating and implementing data models, patterns and standards in a complex organisation
• Hands-on Data Vault methodology and Salesforce data models
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into conceptual, logical and physical data models
• Strong knowledge of dimensional, entity-relationship and normalisation techniques
• Practical SQL skills and experience exploring data to inform design decisions
• Delivery-focused mindset with autonomous, detail-oriented work
