Overview
In this role, you will oversee the collection and quality of fundamental Insurance data across Fitch Group, collaborating with Ratings, Solutions, and data teams to centralise and standardise data capture. You will shape collection methodologies, translate strategy into actionable projects, and lead data stewardship and governance initiatives. You’ll mentor teams, engage with stakeholders, and advance AI/ML-enabled data workflows to drive measurable business outcomes.

- Oversee fundamental data collection for Insurance data across Fitch Group and coordinate with data operations, ratings, and product teams
- Ensure high data quality through end-to-end validation and provide constructive feedback to data input and analytics teams
- Translate strategic initiatives into practical projects considering business priorities and resource constraints
- Lead by delegating tasks, managing workloads, and adapting to changes
- Identify cross-jurisdiction data treatment differences and drive standardised approaches with analytics teams
- Document methodologies and data definitions, capturing in Fitch standardised data templates
- Lead data stewardship and documentation of standardised terms in Collibra
- Mentor and train less experienced staff; provide guidance on projects
- Provide training and support to outsource teams handling data capture and manage exceptions
- Extract business needs from stakeholders to deliver effective data solutions and manage expectations
- Set client service/stakeholder management standards and address conflicts professionally
- Create monthly management reporting and present results quarterly
- Lead exploration and adoption of AI/ML techniques to improve data workflows and decisioning
- Experience with Insurance financial data in financial institutions, accounting, auditing, or risk environments
- Ability to work independently and lead a team
- Preferred: CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CFA qualifications
- Self-starter with quick process adoption and problem-solving attitude
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Experience with offshore teams and mentoring is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to develop professionally and adapt to change
