Overview

In this temporary two-year assignment, you build and evolve ERM’s data foundation to support finance, reporting, and enterprise apps. You will help ensure reliability, scale, and accessibility across SQL-based data platforms and BI tools. The role sits within a collaborative data and analytics team driving modern data platform strategy with Microsoft technologies. You’ll tackle architecture, data integration, and analytics challenges that empower data-driven decision making. This is a chance to shape how ERM delivers insights for smarter business performance and sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Act as SME for SQL Server databases and BI platforms to ensure uptime, performance, reliability, and security
  • Support and enhance ERM’s finance systems and enterprise reporting via SQL-dependent applications
  • Develop and maintain data models, data warehouses, and analytical solutions
  • Build and optimize data pipelines transforming data into actionable insights
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to deliver scalable technology solutions
  • Contribute to the evolution of ERM’s modern data platform using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and related analytics tech
  • Provide technical leadership and escalation for complex database challenges
  • Maintain documentation and standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Key requirements
  • 5+ years in Database Admin, Data Engineering, BI Engineering, or similar
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and related tech
  • SQL proficiency including stored procedures, functions, views, query tuning
  • Database design, schema development, dimensional modeling
  • Knowledge of SQL, MDX, DAX, PowerQuery, PostgreSQL
  • ETL/ELT development with SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric or equivalent
  • Power BI development (Power BI Desktop and Service)
  • Analytics data pipelines for reporting and decision-making
  • Experience with data governance and data warehousing best practices
  • Windows Server and basic networking knowledge
  • Experience in regional/global organizations
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent
  • Preferred: experience with enterprise finance systems/ERP, SSRS, cloud data architectures, ITIL-aligned support, mentoring
  • Certifications in Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, Fabric, Azure Data or related technologies
