Overview
In this role you will help deliver and operate Connells Group’s Data Platform, ensuring secure, scalable cloud data capabilities. You will work in the Group Technology team to design, capacity plan, and manage the platform, collaborating with third‑party providers and other IT teams. Your work will focus on reliable incident response, platform observability, and ongoing improvements to processes and tooling. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that combines platform engineering with a strong emphasis on reliability and performance.
Responsibilities- Maintain the Data Platform for Connells users, minimizing downtime and risk
- Conduct root cause analysis and resolve incidents
- Provide out-of-hours support as needed for operations
- Apply Agile methodologies to platform development
- Deliver Platform as Code
- Follow Cloud Platform design patterns for technical and financial observability
- Manage platform capacity
- Support projects as needed
- Proactively monitor and respond to escalations from other IT teams
- Collaborate with team members
- Demonstrable experience in similar technical roles
- Incident resolution, requests, changes and problem-solving within SLAs
- Experience implementing Cloud Technologies
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric
- Experience managing SQL Server
- Strong team communication and idea sharing
