Data Platform Governance Specialist

Lead data platform governance in Toronto with expertise in audit, risk, compliance, and cloud operations across enterprise environments.

This hands-on Platform Specialist role provides operational leadership across modern data platforms. You will work with engineers, architects, platform specialists, and support teams. The focus includes governance, controls, audit evidence, remediation, reporting, and platform operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead governance and operations across enterprise data platforms
• Maintain architecture, assets, dependencies, controls, and processes
• Own audit, risk, regulatory, and compliance requirements
• Prepare evidence, remediation plans, attestations, and audit responses
• Drive findings and issues through closure with technical specialists

Requirements:

• Experience in technology governance, risk, audit, compliance, or operations
• Hands-on understanding of Azure or AWS cloud platforms
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Databricks, and Kafka
• Experience with data platforms or cloud infrastructure
• Strong control, documentation, reporting, and remediation skills
