Data Platform Lead

As Data Lead, you own trading data end-to-end, ensuring correctness, timeliness, and usefulness for traders and models. You define data as a product, ship production pipelines, and drive fast, reliable data delivery that underpins every model and trading decision. You will design robust schemas, manage data vendors, and monitor data health to prevent bottlenecks. You lead a growing data engineering team and map data flows across the business to enable rapid, scalable decision-making. • Own trading data as a product covering power market data, weather, grid data, and related fundamentals
• Ship datasets and pipelines to production and optimize ingestion, storage, and delivery
• Design canonical schemas with point-in-time correctness, revisions, and backtesting considerations
• Evaluate, onboard, and manage data vendors (coverage, latency, licensing, cost) relative to trading value
• Build and run monitoring for freshness, completeness, and anomalies with clear break processes
• Lead and grow the data team and map data flows across the business to enable fast onboarding of new sources

• Track record of owning and shipping data products to real users with accountable outcomes
• Experience leading people and coordinating across teams with understanding of data flows
• Technical rigour to profile systems and resolve performance bottlenecks
• Strong schema design for time series and event data with revisions and vendor mapping
• Strong Python and SQL and experience running production pipelines at scale
• Experience evaluating data vendors with cost-vs-value perspective
