As Data Product Director, you will lead the design, delivery, and governance of data products to support the bank's objectives. You will coordinate across Data Office, IT, and business units to ensure consistent delivery, ownership, and value realization. You will shape the data product roadmap, align with global strategy, and embed governance controls. This role offers impact across complex, matrixed teams and a chance to drive data-driven transformation in a large international bank.

Responsibilities
  • Lead design and implementation of data products aligned with organisational objectives
  • Oversee delivery and governance of data products across the organisation
  • Maintain and prioritise the data product roadmap
  • Collaborate to align delivery with global strategy
  • Ensure delivery within scope, timelines, and standards
  • Establish governance: ownership, stewardship, lineage, metadata, data quality
  • Coordinate approvals and reporting through data governance forums
  • Manage cross-functional stakeholders across business, data, and technology
  • Track risks, issues, dependencies, and remediation actions
  • Ensure documentation, controls, and operational sustainability
  • Monitor adoption, quality, and business value realization
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery and governance processes
Key requirements
  • Proven experience leading data product development in financial services
  • Strong understanding of data management, analytics, governance principles
  • Ability to work across technology and business teams
  • Experience defining and executing product roadmaps
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to engage stakeholders and manage expectations
  • Experience in data delivery/programme delivery
  • Understanding of data product operating models
  • Knowledge of data quality, metadata, lineage, and control frameworks
