Data Quality Lead - Issue Resolution

Overview

In this role you own the data quality issue lifecycle end-to-end to protect data integrity across key insurance processes. You lead offshore data quality analysts, coordinating remediation with IT and operations. You translate technical findings for business stakeholders and drive prevention-focused improvements. You will work with UK data owners and governance forums to ensure auditable, compliant data quality across the organization. Responsibilities
  • End-to-end ownership of the data quality issue lifecycle (triage, root-cause analysis, assignment, resolution, closure)
  • Ensure SLAs are met, blockers escalated, stakeholders updated
  • Lead and guide offshore Data Quality Analysts with daily direction and quality oversight
  • Conduct workshops with stakeholders to explain issues, remediation plans, and changes
  • Collaborate with IT and Operations to validate fixes and embed new processes
  • Drive structural data quality improvements through pattern identification and preventive actions
  • Contribute to data rule definitions, quality controls, validation logic, and dashboards
  • Produce weekly/monthly data quality reporting and support audit readiness
  • Support Data Governance forums with risk insights and trends
Key requirements
  • Deep understanding of critical data flows in the London Market
  • Ability to produce clear reports for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical mindset for diagnosing complex data issues
  • Excellent communication and ability to simplify technical topics for business partners
  • Stakeholder confidence and ability to lead conversations and challenge assumptions
  • Organised and structured with multiple concurrent issues
  • Root-cause analysis skills (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, data lineage mapping)
  • Ability to guide offshore teams and ensure consistent quality
  • Understanding of data governance, controls, and regulatory expectations
  • Proficiency with SQL, Excel, and data quality tooling (dashboards, issue-tracking, profiling tools)
