Data Science People Manager

Lead data science and applied machine learning at Homebase in Toronto, with hybrid collaboration and required office days Tuesday and Wednesday.

As Manager, Data Science, you will guide a growing team transforming data across product, platform, and people. You will support intelligent scheduling, hiring, payroll, pricing, personalization, and internal targeting systems. The role combines people leadership, experimentation, and production machine learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and grow a team of data scientists
• Mentor scientists to think like product and business owners
• Support end-to-end delivery of production models
• Design A/B and multivariate experiments
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Design

Requirements:

• 6+ years in data science, applied machine learning, or AI
• 2+ years mentoring and growing data scientists
• Strong machine learning background
• Proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience shipping models into production
