In this Data Scientist role, you will help build and deploy quantitative models that power country-risk analytics for corporate, banking, and asset-management clients. You will collaborate with economists, political scientists, and developers to deliver interpretable, scalable insights from structured and unstructured data. The position focuses on advancing risk models, NLP-driven data generation, and robust ML pipelines to support strategic decision-making. You will work in a cross-domain, fast-paced environment that emphasizes transparency, validation, and impact on client decisions.

- Prototype and test new data-extraction approaches from structured and unstructured data
- Develop and maintain ML/data pipelines for experimentation and deployment
- Design and optimize risk models for analytics and generative AI using proprietary NLP data generation
- Collaborate with economists, industry analysts, political scientists, and developers
- Explain ML/NLP outputs and methodologies to non-technical stakeholders
- Substantial experience querying, cleaning, compiling, and analyzing big data
- Experience with data mining, data visualization, NLP, text analysis, time series forecasting, and ML models
- Proficiency in Python and R with common libraries (numpy, pandas, scikit, pytorch, tidyverse, caret, ggplot)
- Proven experience developing and monitoring NLP models
- Familiarity with SQL, Selenium, S3, Sagemaker, API protocols
- Understanding model evaluation methods and metrics
- Ability to operationalize ideas into research designs and model outputs
- Experience with experiment tracking and model management tools (e.g., DVC, Weights & Biases)
