Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Database Administrator to join a growing database engineering team responsible for building, supporting, and governing enterprise Oracle database platforms within OCI. This individual will play a critical role in establishing and operationalizing OCI Exadata services, migrating legacy Oracle workloads to the cloud, and ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, security, and operational excellence across mission-critical environments.

This is a hands‑on production DBA role focused on cloud migrations, database infrastructure, performance optimization, and business continuity. You will support ongoing migration efforts from Oracle 11g, 12c, and 19c environments into OCI Exadata. The ideal candidate is a production-focused Oracle DBA who has spent years supporting highly available enterprise environments and enjoys solving complex infrastructure and database challenges. They have successfully navigated multiple Oracle upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery implementations, understand the intricacies of RAC and Data Guard architectures, and are excited about helping an organization establish OCI as its enterprise database standard moving forward.

Compensation: $70-75/HR Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements
  • 6+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience in enterprise production environments
  • 3+ years of hands‑on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience
  • Strong experience with Oracle Exadata
  • Deep expertise supporting Oracle 19c and Oracle 12c environments
  • Experience administering Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN
  • Strong knowledge of database backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high‑availability architectures
  • Strong Linux administration skills
  • Experience with database patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management
  • Hands‑on experience with SQL performance tuning and database optimization
  • Knowledge of database security best practices and operational governance
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with application teams and stakeholdersAbility to mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth
