Database Infrastructure Consultant, Senior

Long View is a dynamic North American IT provider seeking a senior database professional to administer, optimize, and support enterprise database platforms across on-premises and cloud environments. You will ensure availability, performance, security, and recoverability of critical database systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional client service.

What You'll Do

• Provision, administer, monitor, and optimize enterprise database platforms across diverse client environments
• Provide operational support for database infrastructure ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability
• Perform health checks, best-practice assessments, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis of database issues
• Lead client onboarding activities including database architecture review, configuration, and implementation
• Manage ticket queues, ensure SLA compliance, and participate in on-call rotation for incident resolution

What You Need

• 5+ years of experience managing database infrastructure in an enterprise environment
• Intermediate understanding of database technologies including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, MongoDB, CosmosDB, and MySQL
• Experience with SQL Server clustering (Always-On Availability Groups), SSAS, SSRS, Oracle RAC, and Oracle Data Guard
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS) and server operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix)
• Intermediate knowledge of database backup and recovery technologies (Veeam, Cohesity) and best practices

Nice to Have

• ITIL Foundations Certification
• Experience with GoldenGate, HANA, or additional PostgreSQL, NoSQL, MongoDB, and CosmosDB technologies
• Passion for delivering exceptional client experience
