Contract Databricks Engineer-Outside IR35 9/12 months-2/3 days on site in Manchester

We're looking for an experienced Databricks Data Engineer to join a fast-paced data team on an initial contract basis.

You'll play a key role in developing and improving data solutions within Databricks , helping deliver reliable, high-quality data across the organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Build, develop and optimise data pipelines within Databricks.
  • Ingest and transform data from multiple sources.
  • Develop and maintain scalable data models and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Improve data quality, performance and reliability.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Troubleshoot existing pipelines and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with data, technology and business teams to deliver projects.

What we're looking for

  • Strong hands-on Databricks experience.
  • Excellent SQL and Python skills.
  • Solid data engineering and data warehousing experience.
  • Experience working with cloud data platforms.
  • A proactive, delivery-focused approach and the ability to hit the ground running.
