Date Centre and Linux Systems Engineer

Overview
In this role you will support a global data center portfolio, focusing on architecture, implementation, troubleshooting and optimization in a fast-paced trading environment. You collaborate with software engineers, traders and infrastructure teams to align technical solutions with strategy and analytics. You will move across regional data centers (with emphasis on Frankfurt) and contribute to automation, provisioning and monitoring while managing hardware inventory and lifecycle. The environment is open, highly technical and performance-driven, offering meaningful impact in scaling secure, reliable infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Travel to domestic and international data centers
- Install and troubleshoot hardware and infrastructure in a modern data center
- Manage data center power and cooling capacity
- Coordinate with technicians, vendors and regional teams to implement projects and resolve issues
- Oversee logistics and inventory management, including shipments
- Support the trading Linux infrastructure, including emergency response
- Develop automation and monitoring tools for provisioning, configuration and monitoring of servers
- Maintain technical documentation and improve best practices and processes
- Participate in regional on-call rotation and occasional weekend shifts
- Comprehensive understanding of server-side networking, network protocols, data center principles, OS concepts and Linux internal workings
- Minimum 3 years hands-on Linux maintenance and operation experience
- Proficiency with Linux command line tools
- Extensive experience with computing hardware and connectivity
- Strong expertise in cabling standards and best practices with various cable types
