The DB2 DBA Consultant L3 provides technical support for DB2 systems supporting CICS, stored procedures, packages, and batch environments. Responsibilities span table changes, SQL development assistance, backups, reorganizations, migrations, security, and disaster recovery. The role also coordinates database projects with Application, Infrastructure, and Outsourcer teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain DB2 integrity, availability, and performance
  • Manage table changes for application development
  • Perform backups, reorganizations, and environment migrations
  • Support archive purge procedures and jobs
  • Coordinate disaster recovery database support

Requirements:

  • Longtime DB2 for z/OS experience
  • Hands-on z/OS, JES2, TSO/E, and ISPF experience
  • Knowledge of DB2 Connect and utility suites
  • Database performance monitoring and troubleshooting expertise
  • Experience maintaining database security and permissions
