DCS Specialist

DCSand PLC configuration:

• ProgramDCS/PLC for brown fill projects.
• ProgramDistributed Control Systems (DCS, Delta-V, Software rev 14 and later),Programable Logic Controllers (PLC, AB ControlLogix, Siemens and other brands)and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI).

Maintenance,Troubleshooting and Support:

• Integrateprocess control systems with existing and new equipment.
• Providetechnical support for process control systems, including troubleshooting andresolving issues.
• Workclosely with EPC team to ensure the design is functional and safe.
• Workwith operations and maintenance teams to ensure smooth functioning of controlsystems. Conduct root cause analysis for control system failures and implementcorrective actions.

Complianceand Safety:

• Ensureall process control activities comply with industry standards, regulations, andcompany policies.
• Promoteand maintain a strong safety culture within the team and on-site.
• Participatein safety reviews, risk assessments, and HAZOP studies.

Education:

Bachelor’sdegree in Process Control, Chemical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or arelated field. A master’s degree is preferred.

Experience and Skill requirements:

• Minimum of5 years of configuration experience in Delta-V and AB PLC within the oil andgas, petrochemical, or related industries.
• Experiencedin Alarm database management.
• Familiarwith process control strategies include advanced process control, understandrelated documentation including P&IDs, control narratives, Shutdown key andfunctional specifications.
• Deepknowledge of control systems including hardware and software specifications.
• Strongunderstanding of process control principles and techniques.
• Experiencewith process simulation and modeling software.
• Excellentproblem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strongcommunication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability towork effectively in a team.

Travel:

Occasionallytravel to Fort McMurry is required.

Certifications:

• Delta_Vrelated certifications are required.
• ProfessionalEngineer (P.Eng.) designation is preferred.
