Overview

In this role you drive standardization of machine design, production platforms and materials across multiple product categories. You will own global tech standards and act as the single source for technical specifications, enabling cross-functional collaboration. You’ll lead the Centre of Expertise for Technology and advance direct materials applications to improve quality, cost and delivery. This is a fast-paced, global role with meaningful impact on manufacturing performance and supplier ecosystems. You’ll work closely with regional and global partners to shape scalable, technology-driven solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Drive machine design standards in partnership with GPMs and R&D and standardize platform technology across categories
  • Standardize production platforms across categories and maintain global repositories of assets and machine/product specifications
  • Develop and maintain global active materials repositories with specifications
  • Define technical standards for direct materials, suppliers, and quality related to technology platforms
  • Serve as the single source for all technical specifications for machines and materials
  • Own the Centre of Expertise for Technology and build capability across the factory network
  • Lead Direct Materials application to technology to optimize sourcing, cost of goods sold and quality
  • Create and implement technical standards for machine design including electronics and materials, in collaboration with GPMs and Direct Procurement
  • Coordinate complex global projects and manage risks/issues within a matrix organization
Key requirements
  • Engineering background with experience of BAT technology platforms and materials preferred
  • Proficient in crafting standards for machines, materials and CBA reapplications
  • Deep knowledge of manufacturing technologies across product categories
  • Experience working across geographies and managing matrixed partners
  • Background in direct materials with understanding of quality, suppliers and specifications
