Design Support Engineer

In this role you will support the Seeker Division by bridging design and manufacturing to bring RF-based seeker products into series production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and drive continuous improvements. The position offers exposure to advanced RF/dual-mode seekers used in guided missiles, within a hybrid working setup in Bolton. You will help maintain schedules, manage changes, and ensure delivery to required standards, making a meaningful impact on mission-critical systems.

• Interface with design and manufacturing teams to transition a seeker from development to series manufacture
• Collaborate with manufacturing on process and capability issues; support continuous improvement to maximise production yields
• Support non-conformance management, handle design queries and advise on non-conformances
• Assist manufacturing with internal and external suppliers to ensure continuity of supply
• Support obsolescence management by providing recommendations to the design team

• Electronic Engineer with initiative and determination to investigate and resolve production problems
• Broad-based engineering background essential
• Knowledge of RF assembly and test procedures advantageous
• Ability to manage own workload and interact with design and manufacturing teams
