IT Service Desk Lead – Microsoft GCC High / Azure Government

Arlington, VA | Onsite 5 days/week 3+ month contract

We are seeking a hands-on IT Service Desk Lead to support a secure Microsoft government cloud environment serving Public Sector and Defense Services teams. This is a player-coach role combining service desk leadership with hands-on Microsoft systems administration.

Critical Requirements:

• Active Security+ certification – REQUIRED
• 7+ years of IT experience with 2+ years of leadership/service desk lead experience
• Strong, hands-on Microsoft 365 GCC High experience
• Microsoft 365 administration
• Azure Government / Microsoft Azure
• Microsoft Entra ID and Intune
• Experience supporting DoD IL4/IL5 environments
• Working knowledge of CMMC and NIST SP 800-171
• Experience in a federal government, DoD contractor, or similarly regulated environment

Technical Experience:

• Microsoft account, user and access administration
• Application and device management
• End-user computing and laptop imaging/deployment
• Systems and virtual machine administration
• Tier 1–3 support and complex technical troubleshooting
• Service desk ticket management, escalation and prioritization

What You’ll Do:

• Lead day-to-day service desk operations and mentor IT team members
• Remain hands-on and personally resolve complex Tier 2/3 technical issues
• Administer Microsoft 365 GCC High, Azure Government, Entra ID and Intune
• Manage users, devices, applications, laptops, access and virtual machines
• Support CMMC/NIST 800-171 compliance and audit readiness
• Improve service desk processes, documentation and overall service delivery

Additional Requirements:

• Must be comfortable working onsite in Arlington, VA 5 days/week
• Must hold or be eligible to hold a U. xhqgsiq S. Secret security clearance
• ISSM experience and Microsoft certifications are a plus
