Developer

Position Overview

Located in our Central Office in Regina, SK, the successful candidate will join SAMA’s Information Services Division as a Developer in this permanent, full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Providing development, enhancement and maintenance services for the Agency’s custom and commercial applications.
• Providing application support and technical assistance for the Agency’s various computer application systems.
• Providing custom reports and data extracts.
• Providing end user support.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• University degree in a related field or;
• Diploma in business information systems and two (2) years experience;
• Demonstrated software skills using C#, Visual Basic, current .Net framework, Python, SQL, and SSRS reports.
• Working knowledge of GIS systems and mapping software including ESRI ArcGIS products.
• Good problem-solving skills, time management, and excellent oral and written communication skills.

A skills assessment/performance test may be used to assess candidate knowledge and experience.
