Developer Advocate - TESSL

OpenTalent

London · England · United Kingdom

Tessl is a fast-growing Series A startup based in London, founded by Guy Podjarny, who previously founded Snyk. We’ve raised more than $100 million from world-class investors, including Index Ventures, Accel, GV and Boldstart. In 2025, Tessl ranked #2 in Sifted’s B2B SaaS Rising 100 and #20 in its AI 100.

We’re building the context layer for AI coding agents and a platform for AI-native software development. As an early member of the team, you’ll help shape how we build and scale a company operating at the forefront of AI and software development.

Overview of Role

We're looking for a Developer Advocate to be Tessl's voice in the AI developer community — based in our London office and out in the world where developers actually are. Someone who lives and breathes agentic coding, builds real things with Tessl, and helps other developers do the same.

This is a hands-on, high-visibility role. You'll build with the product, create content people genuinely use, speak at events, and be a familiar face across the communities where AI development is being figured out in real time. You'd rather ship a slick integration or a creative app than just write about one.

A big part of this role is education. Alongside the community work, you'll help build and grow Tessl Academy — our home for learning AI native development. You'll turn what you know into structured, hands-on learning that scales beyond any single talk or tutorial, and takes developers from curious to genuinely capable with Tessl.

Key Responsibilities

Build with Tessl: Go beyond writing about the product, build with it. Create apps, integrations, and creative projects using Tessl that inspire and enable the developer community to do the same.

Teach through Tessl Academy: Design and deliver structured learning, including courses, hands-on labs, guided projects, and certification paths, through Tessl Academy that take developers from their first agentic build to real fluency. Own the curriculum, keep it current as the product evolves, and pay attention to what actually helps people learn, not just what looks good on a syllabus.

Content Creation: Write articles, tutorials, and guides, and produce videos that give developers practical, actionable insights into AI native development with Tessl.

Community and Events: Be an active, visible presence in the AI developer community, speaking at events, participating in forums, engaging on social, and helping highlight what developers are building with Tessl.

Ecosystem Exploration: Constantly explore the AI developer tooling landscape, identifying integration opportunities and ways to connect Tessl with the broader ecosystem.
