Overview
As Java Development Manager, you lead a global engineering group to deliver high-quality, scalable fintech products. You oversee nearshore developers and QA, shaping engineering practices and resourcing while collaborating with product, IT, and operations. You drive Agile delivery and roadmap execution in a fast-growing, tech-driven environment. This role offers hands-on influence across a SAAS platform, with a focus on greenfield projects and high-availability systems.

- Grow and mentor a large developer/QA team (40 incl.)
- Plan and coordinate Agile development across products
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Support for new work and ongoing support
- Drive process improvement and development innovation
- Deliver high-quality, timely product roadmaps
- Lead engineering practices and resourcing outside individual Scrum/Kanban teams
- Experience leading development teams of 10–20 people
- Experience managing remote teams; remote work essential
- Experience in a larger tech group (~140 staff) with cross-team collaboration
- ideally product/SAAS background
- Hands-on Java experience (not required to be hands-on in role)
- Platforms built with Java, Apache NiFi, Kafka, SpringBoot, Angular 7 and Oracle
- CI/CD experience with Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy
- Mentoring and people development
