We'recurrentlysupportinganorganisationbasedSheffieldwhorequireanexperiencedDevOpsConsultant .Thisisanexcitingopportunitytoplayakeyroleindesigning,automating,andoptimisingcloud-nativeplatformswithinahighlyregulatedenterpriseenvironment.ResponsiblefordrivingDevOpsbestpractices,InfrastructureasCode,CI/CDautomation,andKubernetes-baseddeploymentsacrossGoogleCloud,helpingtodeliversecure,scalable,andresilientsolutions.

RoleResponsibilities

  • Design,build,andsupportscalablecloud-nativeplatformsonGoogleCloud(GCP).
  • DevelopandmaintainInfrastructureasCodeusingTerraform,Ansible,andscriptinglanguages.
  • ManageandoptimiseKubernetes(GKE)environments,Dockercontainers,andHelmdeployments.
  • Build,enhance,andmaintainenterpriseCI/CDpipelinesusingJenkinsandGit-basedworkflows.
  • ImplementDevSecOpspractices,integratingsecurityandcodequalitytoolsintodeliverypipelines.
  • Collaboratewithengineering,infrastructure,andoperationsteamstoimproveplatformreliabilityandautomation.
  • MonitorandoptimiseplatformperformanceusingtoolssuchasDatadog,Grafana,andAppDynamics.
  • Supporthybridcloudenvironmentsandensurerobustnetworkingandsecuritycontrolsareinplace.
  • Troubleshootcomplexinfrastructure,deployment,andpipeline-relatedissues.
  • Drivecontinuousimprovementthroughautomation,standardisation,andbestpracticeadoption.

ExperienceRequired

  • Stronghands-onexperiencewithGoogleCloudPlatform(GCP),GKE,andKubernetes.
  • ExpertiseinDocker,HelmCharts,andcontaineriseddeployments.
  • ProvenexperiencewithTerraform,Ansible,Python,Bash/Shellscripting,andInfrastructureasCode.
  • StrongknowledgeofJenkinsCI/CD,Groovypipelines,Git,andbranchingstrategies.
  • ExperienceimplementingDevSecOpstoolingincludingSonarQube,Checkmarx,andcontainersecurityscanning.
  • SolidLinux/Unixadministrationandtroubleshootingskills.
  • ExperiencewithmonitoringandobservabilitytoolsincludingDatadog,Grafana,andAppDynamics.
  • Knowledgeofnetworking,firewalls,andenterpriseDevOpsoperatingmodels.
  • Experiencesupportingapplicationsacrosshybridandpubliccloudenvironments.

Desirable

  • GCP,CKA,orCKADcertifications.
  • ExperiencewithCloudSQLandMemorystore.
  • KnowledgeofenterprisenetworkingandAPIplatforms.
  • SREbackgroundandexperienceworkingwithinAgiledeliveryenvironments.
