DevOps Engineer

As a Junior DevOps Engineer at BAE Systems, you’ll support and evolve IT systems, focusing on secure, reliable operations. You’ll help streamline software delivery by building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code, under guidance from senior engineers. You will work across on-premises and cloud environments to enable fast, secure deployment and monitoring. • Support administration of existing IT systems and contribute to new ones with emphasis on operational best practices, reporting and security
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to improve software delivery
• Maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to provision cloud resources
• Assist in operational tasks and troubleshoot cloud and server issues; help integrate monitoring for rapid reporting
• Document design work, standards and procedures to high quality
• Apply quality standards and participate in testing and examining code and platform components

• Experience managing Microsoft Server in an enterprise setting
• Experience managing Azure cloud platforms
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, especially Terraform
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
• Experience with scripting languages
• Hands-on management of Active Directory and related infrastructure
