DevOps Engineer
Tiquo Ltd
Tiquo is building a connected operating platform for hospitality and service businesses. We bring bookings, point of sale, payments, memberships, customer relationships, inventory and reporting into one system, helping hotels, restaurants, spas, members' clubs and venues replace disconnected tools with simpler operations and a consistent guest experience.
About the role
We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to help build and maintain the infrastructure behind Tiquo. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in the London Area, United Kingdom.
You'll work closely with our software engineers to make the platform reliable, secure and easy to deploy. Your work will support the workflows hospitality teams depend on every day, from taking bookings and processing payments to keeping customer, stock and operational data in sync across locations.
What you'll do
- Build, maintain and improve cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines that make builds, tests and releases repeatable, with safe deployment and rollback processes.
- Improve monitoring, logging and alerting so we can identify issues early and resolve them quickly.
- Strengthen the availability, performance and resilience of services supporting bookings, orders, payments and real-time updates.
- Improve infrastructure security, access controls, secrets management and environment configuration.
- Maintain backup and recovery processes, test recovery procedures and contribute to incident response.
- Automate repetitive tasks, improve developer tooling and keep infrastructure documentation and runbooks practical and up to date.
- Monitor capacity and cloud costs as the platform grows, balancing performance, reliability and efficiency.
What you'll bring
- Practical experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering or a similar infrastructure-focused role.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or equivalent.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong Linux, networking and system administration skills, including production troubleshooting.
- Experience with containers and an understanding of deployment and orchestration practices.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, alerting and incident management.
- A security‑minded approach and the ability to communicate clearly, document decisions and work closely with developers.
Experience supporting transactional platforms, payment integrations, real‑time systems or multi‑location business software would be useful, but is not essential. We value practical engineering judgement and relevant experience, whether gained through formal education or hands‑on work.
You'll help shape the infrastructure and engineering practices behind a platform used to run real‑world hospitality operations. This is an opportunity to solve practical reliability and scaling challenges, reduce complexity for our engineering team and contribute directly to a product that connects staff, guests and business operations.
