DevOps Engineer

In this role you will implement and support improvements to speed delivery, improve software quality, and ensure reliable operations within a cross-functional DevOps team. You contribute to aligning development, operations, and security with a unified customer focus across platforms in the UK. You will be part of the APS (Application Support) group, gaining exposure to multiple platforms while balancing development, DevOps, and support duties, including on-call coverage. • Work with DevOps tooling, containers, and containerisation to improve delivery and reliability
• Communicate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Act as a business SME to understand needs and support the DevOps team
• Negotiate and influence stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery

• 2+ years in a similar DevOps/Platform role
• Strong knowledge of AWS and CI/CD pipeline creation/maintenance
• Hands-on Terraform and Kubernetes experience
• Java experience
• Experience with multiple databases and integration architectures
• Experience with monitoring tools for reliability and performance
• Kubernetes & Helm understanding (orchestration and package management)
• AWS Cloud experience
• CI/CD proficiency with Jenkins
• Database schema change management (Liquibase)
• GitOps understanding
• Automation mindset with proactive monitoring and continuous improvement
