Overview

In this role you will design and operate the core systems that support high-performance trading. You will collaborate with technologists, researchers and portfolio managers to deliver scalable infrastructure and automation for the business. You’ll implement and improve pipelines, data infrastructure and monitoring to enable fast, reliable decision-making. You work in a relaxed, open environment that mirrors top tech firms, with a clear focus on quality and impact. This role offers the opportunity to shape critical trading infrastructure at a leading hedge fund in Central London.

Responsibilities
  • Improve, monitor and support software infrastructure
  • Develop software systems in Golang (and Java or Scala if applicable)
  • Test and deploy pipelines, tools, monitoring, middleware and data infrastructure
  • Integrate tools and technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Zookeeper, Mesos, Docker, Elasticsearch
  • Assemble platforms to automate business processes
  • Collaborate with technology, research and portfolio management teams
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in Technical or Quantitative Field
  • 3–5 years of software development experience
  • Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or Golang
  • Familiarity with open-source software and the DevOps toolchain
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently
