DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer Up to £72,000 | London or Manchester | Hybrid Who you'll be working with Join a leading national security and digital intelligence organisation, developing cloud-based systems that support critical UK security missions. You'll work in an empowered DevOps team, building and maintaining applications on AWS while collaborating closely with engineers and end-users. What you'll be doing Designing, developing and deploying applications and services on AWS. Working with AWS services including EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, Lambda, RDS and IAM. Using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK. Contributing to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and continuous delivery. Troubleshooting complex technical challenges and improving system performance. Working across the full software delivery lifecycle within an Agile team. What we need Strong hands-on AWS development experience. Experience with AWS services and cloud-based application design. Coding experience in at least one Lambda-compatible language. Scripting skills in Python, Bash or Shell. Experience with Infrastructure as Code and version control, such as Git. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Experience with microservices, APIs, Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD and automated testing would be advantageous. What's in it for you? 25 days' annual leave, with options to buy or sell leave.
