DevOps Engineer
£500 per day (Inside IR35) 6-Month Contract London (2 Days per Week Onsite) Eligibility for SC Clearance We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support the delivery and operation of a modern AWS-based platform. This role will be instrumental in building and managing cloud environments, deployment pipelines, platform monitoring, and operational support across a complex technology landscape. You'll work closely with development, architecture, and infrastructure teams to drive automation, improve deployment processes, enhance platform reliability, and ensure secure, scaleable cloud operations. Key Responsibilities Build, manage, and optimise AWS cloud environments Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform Design, implement, and support CI/CD pipelines Manage containerised applications using Kubernetes and Docker Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions Automate operational tasks and infrastructure processes through scripting Manage environments across development, testing, and production Support cloud security initiatives and best practices Coordinate and support release management activities Maintain Git repositories and version control processes Troubleshoot platform and deployment issues Drive continuous improvement across DevOps practices and tooling Required Skills & Experience Strong experience with AWS platform services Expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container technologies Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions Automation and scripting skills (e.g. Python, Bash, PowerShell) Good understanding of cloud security principles and controls Experience with environment management and release processes Strong Git and version control experience Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities Desirable Experience Experience working within enterprise-scale cloud environments Knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies Experience supporting highly available, business-critical platforms Understanding of platform resilience, scaleability, and performance optimisation This is an excellent opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join a high-profile programme, helping to deliver robust, secure, and scalable cloud solutions while working with modern technologies and best-practice engineering teams.
