Overview

In this role you will design and implement the enterprise DevOps strategy to support an Azure-focused infrastructure in a fast-growing financial firm. You will collaborate with the Infrastructure Team to enable scalable, secure delivery pipelines and cloud native tooling. The position offers exposure to banking/financial markets, modern CI/CD practices, and cross-functional delivery at scale. This is a chance to help shape the Azure landscape and drive transformation in a premier London-based organization.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement the enterprise-wide DevOps strategy
  • Manage Azure, Linux, and cloud infrastructure via IaC (Terraform)
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git, Azure DevOps, and related tools
  • Configure and operate automation with Ansible, Build and Release processes
  • Containerize and orchestrate with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Develop scripts and tooling (PowerShell, Python, Go, Git Bash) to automate workflows
  • Monitor and troubleshoot using Splunk, Prometheus, and Datadog
  • Support microservices architecture, API Gateways, and IAM controls
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with current and future business needs
  • Ensure alignment with banking/financial markets requirements and security standards
  • Travel flexibility and ability to work from multiple offices as needed
Key requirements
  • Background in Banking/ Financial Markets/Investment Banking essential
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Terraform, CI/CD, Git, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Scripting skills: PowerShell, Python, Go, Git Bash
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, Prometheus, Datadog)
  • Familiarity with SQL and API Gateways
  • Agile experience
  • Ability to work in London/Hybrid setup and hold UK right to work
