DevOps Engineer

You’ll help build and operate the deployment and infrastructure foundation behind our Java-based backend services and Angular applications. This role has direct impact on how reliably and quickly engineering teams can release software, troubleshoot production issues, and scale applications across environments.

You’ll work closely with developers and QA teams, with particular ownership around Kubernetes, CI/CD, automation, observability, and production reliability. The role also includes incident response and may require participation in an on-call rotation.

What You’ll Do

• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines that make application releases more automated, repeatable, secure, and reliable.
• Own the deployment and day-to-day operation of containerized applications running on Kubernetes, including troubleshooting issues across development and production environments.
• Improve the reliability and scalability of Java/Spring Boot microservices and Angular applications by partnering with development teams on deployment, configuration, and infrastructure needs.
• Strengthen monitoring, logging, and alerting so teams can identify and resolve production issues quickly, using tools such as the Elastic Stack, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Automate infrastructure and deployment activities using scripting and Infrastructure as Code, reducing manual effort and configuration inconsistencies.
• Support event-driven workloads using Apache Kafka, including monitoring and troubleshooting producers, consumers, topics, and brokers where required.
• Improve platform security and resilience across CI/CD pipelines, container images, Kubernetes configurations, access controls, networking, and cloud infrastructure.

What You’ll Need

Must-haves

• 3+ years of hands-on DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, or closely related experience.
• Strong practical experience with Kubernetes, including application deployments, services, ingress, Helm, scaling, and troubleshooting.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
• Ability to automate operational work using at least one scripting language such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Groovy.
• Experience supporting containerized, distributed applications in at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience supporting Java/Spring Boot microservices and deploying Angular applications.
• Experience with Apache Kafka and centralized logging or observability platforms such as Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Kubernetes or cloud certifications such as CKA, AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications.
