About The Role

Apex Systems is seeking a highly motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to support a leading Canadian financial institution's Digital Banking organization. This role will focus on managing and enhancing deployment pipelines, automation initiatives, and cloud-native application delivery supporting key digital banking applications, including online banking, live chat, callback services, scheduling platforms, and open banking solutions.

The ideal candidate will bring strong automation and scripting expertise, a self-starter mentality, and hands-on experience with modern CI/CD tooling and cloud technologies. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building solutions, optimizing deployment processes, and working independently in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting digital banking applications.
• Build and enhance automation solutions using Python scripting.
• Develop and manage deployment workflows utilizing GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
• Support containerized applications running on Kubernetes and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and application teams to streamline deployment processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures, deployment issues, and environment-related challenges.
• Manage and maintain Jenkins pipelines during the transition to GitHub Actions.
• Build deployment configurations and support application releases using Helm and Kubernetes technologies.
• Participate in code reviews and automation initiatives that improve scalability and reliability.
