Overview

In this contract role you will build and automate cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines, supporting containerised applications within a secure, cloud-native programme. You’ll work in a highly technical environment on platform engineering and DevOps best practices, enabling scalable, observable systems. Expect to implement IaC, GitOps and CI/CD improvements that drive reliability and speed. This remote position requires monthly site visits to Romsey and holds active SC or DV clearance as a prerequisite.

Responsibilities
  • Build, automate and maintain cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines
  • Support containerised applications and improve platform engineering and DevOps processes
  • Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure in AWS
  • Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines
  • Administer and automate Kubernetes platforms
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Packer
  • Enable GitOps with ArgoCD
  • Set up monitoring and observability with Grafana, Prometheus and OpenTelemetry
  • Drive continuous improvement of engineering standards and release processes
Key requirements
  • Active SC or DV Clearance
  • UK-based
  • Able to attend site in Romsey approximately once per month
  • Proven experience in complex DevOps and cloud engineering environments
