Overview

In this DevOps Engineer role, you will design and implement automation to build systems across private and public clouds, and deploy server- and container-based environments. You’ll partner with DevOps and development teams to advance a cloud transition toward IaC, supporting SaaS architectures and microservices in Kubernetes. You’ll mentor colleagues on automation and help sustain platforms used by large enterprise clients. The role combines hands-on engineering with a consultative mindset to drive scalable, secure operations in a fintech context.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop automation for cloud-based systems (private/public)
  • Deploy server- and container-based environments
  • Operate, configure and maintain SaaS solutions across three-tier to microservice architectures
  • Mentor colleagues on automation and best practices
  • Support cloud migration and IaC initiatives
  • Configure and manage enterprise monitoring and alerting systems
  • Work with DevOps and development teams in an Agile culture
  • Manage backups and database setup/mirroring (Oracle, MSSQL, Elastic Search)
  • Administer Redhat Linux/CentOS and Windows Server environments
  • Utilize tooling for CI/CD and configuration management (Puppet, Jenkins, Git, Nexus, Pulp)
  • Handle load balancers and SSL/OAM components (F5)
  • Ensure security principles around network traffic and third-party software
Key requirements
  • Experience with automation and configuration management (Puppet)
  • Containerisation with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Java application servers experience (WebLogic)
  • Database setup/restoration/mirroring (Oracle, MSSQL, Elastic Search)
  • Load balancers and SSL in F5 environments
  • CI/CD and repo tooling (Puppet, Jenkins, Git, Nexus, Pulp)
  • Enterprise monitoring/alerting (Prometheus, Icinga, OEM)
  • Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server administration
  • Backup solutions experience (Commvault)
  • Scripting knowledge (Perl, Bash, Python, Ruby)
  • Security principles in networking and third-party software
  • Excellent collaboration in Agile DevOps culture
