Overview

As DevOps Engineer, you design, build, and operate scalable, secure cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines for IMG’s digital and broadcast platforms. You enable continuous delivery, improve reliability, and support live event services for high-profile clients. You work with cross-functional teams to optimise performance, availability, and security across environments. This role offers impact in a fast-paced, global sports media ecosystem. You will help drive automation and resilience, shaping how we deliver critical experiences for fans and partners.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure for production and development environments
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines across multiple teams
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
  • Monitor performance, availability, and reliability with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery strategies and test regularly
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations to streamline deployments and improve performance
  • Escalate production incidents with rapid troubleshooting and resolution
  • Enforce security best practices across infrastructure, pipelines, and applications
  • Optimize system performance and cost across cloud environments
  • Document infrastructure, processes, and procedures
  • Identify opportunities for automation and operational improvement
  • Support live and critical event operations where uptime is essential
  • Communicate issues, risks, and improvements to stakeholders
Key requirements
  • Proven experience in a DevOps/SRE role
  • Strong knowledge of Linux
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps/Bitbucket)
  • Scripting skills in Python, Bash, Ansible, or similar
  • Experience with IaC tools (Terraform or CloudFormation)
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging and alerting tools
  • Understanding of networking, security, and system architecture
  • Experience in high-availability or live production environments is desirable
  • Knowledge of Git and version control
  • Technical/engineering background with interest in automation and cloud technologies
  • Strong problem-solving and pressure management skills
